      Description

      Key Features. When your old door seal hardens and no longer keeps water or cold air out, it's time to swap it for this replacement. Usually the old seals become so hardened, it hurts to put your arm out the window at all, which can really kill your enjoyment of an open-air experience in the summer months. Made to fit fully hard doors, the outer door glass seal's rubber is soft enough to compress as the door closes, creating a water and air tight seal that will keep you comfortable year-round. The seal is made to match OE specifications, so you don't have to worry about proper fitment and the door being too difficult to close or open. With this in place, you can take on any conditions for the road or trail without any worries, allowing you to concentrate on far more important things.

      Construction. This full door seal is made of soft rubber that feels good when you put your arm out the window. The rubber is also durable automotive-grade that's designed to handle boiling heat, freezing cold, mud, grime and anything else you can throw at it on a daily basis. Maleable metal tabs are included to hold the strip firmly in place, so it doesn't come free and get damaged or lost easily.

      Installation. The installation process for this outer door glass seal is actually fairly advanced, so set aside about two hours or more so you don't feel rushed. You'll need a flat head screwdriver and possibly a utility knife for the installation process, mostly to remove the old weather stripping. One of the hardest parts of the job is getting the tabs lined up with the holes in the door frame, which can be a tedious process and take some trial and error to get it completely right. Once installed correctly, the rubber seal will sit firmly in place, creating a tight seal without requiring you to slam the door closed.
