      Description

      Construction. This Rugged Ridge carpet kit is made from tufted polypropylene, which provides a deep carpet pile combined with toughness and mold resistance. Mildew has a difficult time getting started on this material, and the carpet can resist solvents and some other corrosive chemicals. Jute backing provides a thick, flexible backing. The kit includes two fender well covers to provide complete interior floor coverage to protect the floorboards and look good also.

      Specs. This carpeting kit includes 5 pieces of carpeting designed to be used in 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ models. The carpeting may need to be trimmed to size in some cases using a box knife. The carpet has a 5 year limited manufacturer's warranty against defects in workmanship or material. This item helps to damp sound coming from beneath the vehicle, giving a quieter ride. The polypropylene pile provides good traction and also offers plenty of "grip" for the nubs on the bottom of liners.

      Application. This carpeting requires a minimum of 2 hours to install in a Jeep. The task is easiest if the seats are removed first, which may also be needed to eliminate older carpeting. The floor surfaces are completely cleaned and dried. The carpet pieces are checked for fit and cut if necessary. Spray adhesive is then added to the back of them, and they are smoothed carefully into place. The glue has to be allowed at least several hours curing time. Fits all 1976-1995 Jeep CJ7 and Wrangler YJ Models.
