Smooth Start. Troubles with the faulty Jeep Wrangler Ignition Lock Cylinder are worrying. Just imagine if your off-roader refuses to start in the middle of a mountain trail. You shouldn’t have to think twice about replacing the cylinder, even though it requires professional installation.
Great Built Quality. The Jeep Wrangler Ignition Lock Cylinder is fashioned entirely from cast aluminum. There are no plastic elements, so you don’t have to worry about the ignition letting you down in the middle of nowhere. The kit also includes two high-quality keys.
Professional Installation. Despite being a very small part, the ignition lock cylinder has a critical role, and it’s tricky to reach. The installation requires you to disassemble the entire steering section and remove the corresponding wiring. The main challenge is getting everything back in place, so it’s best to ask for professional help.
Check Your Wiring. When installing the new ignition lock cylinder, it pays to inspect the associated wiring. Sometimes, you may also need to replace the wires to ensure a seamless start. And this is also a task best done by the professionals who have the tools to inspect and replace faulty electricals.
Application. This ignition lock cylinder is engineered to fit 1998-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJs.
Technical Note. Should you choose to proceed with the installation on your own, ensure you have all the right tools. Also, you may want to take pictures of the steering wheel assembly to avoid faulty rewiring.
Installation Difficulty. The Jeep Wrangler Ignition Lock Cylinder installation requires special tools and mechanical knowledge. A professional should complete the installation in about one hour.

Lock Cylinder Replacement
Easy replacement of ignition lock cylinder. quality of part seems to be as good as OEM and haven't had any issues wince re keying lock cylinder. maybe take a little over an hour but not an all afternoon job either. I had to remove my steering wheel to get the trim around the steering column off, I saw online some people didn't but my trim wasn't coming off.
