Accurate Speed Readings. Have you ever wondered where your speedometer gets its information from? A speed sensor installed in your vehicle collects the data that gets fed through the speedometer. Of course, a damaged speed sensor means inaccurate readings, which could cause all sorts of issues when you’re driving. Thankfully, Dorman solves the problem of a broken sensor with its Jeep Wrangler Automatic Transmission Speed Sensor. Designed to directly replace your OEM part, this sensor provides accurate readings so you’re never caught driving at the wrong speed.
Plastic Housing. The solid plastic used to house this sensor protects it from minor impacts and vibrations. That means the sensor can offer accurate data that isn’t affected by the bumpiness of your ride. The part also undergoes rigorous testing before it is released to the market.
Bolt-On Installation. No extra hardware or complicated vehicle modifications are needed to install this sensor. It fits directly to your stock mounts using the wiring harnesses that are already attached to your vehicle. The 2 male cavity terminals allow you to easily plug the sensor into the relevant mating components.
Limited Lifetime Warranty. You’re protected by Dorman’s limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own this part. Applying to the original purchaser only, this warranty guards against manufacturing flaws and issues with materials. It cannot be transferred to any future owners of the sensor.
Application. The Jeep Wrangler Automatic Transmission Speed Sensor installs directly into Jeep Wrangler JK and TJ vehicles made between 2003-2011. It’s compatible with automatic transmissions only.
Installation Difficulty. The minor wiring required for installation places this at the intermediate level. However, the part is relatively simple to fit in about 1-2 hours.
