      Distinguishing Features: Unlike many aftermarket carriers, the Motobilt JL Tire Carrier is constructed as one solid unit, eliminating the need for additional costly pieces. Bumper-mounted carriers often wear down quickly due to limited support, while other designs require complicated rod systems and constant adjustments. Our tire carrier offers the strength, simplicity, and reliability you need.

      When should you use this? Use the Motobilt JL Tire Carrier when installing larger or heavier tire and wheel combinations, recommended for sizes of 35" and above, but can also accommodate smaller sizes like 33".

      Considerations:
      -Ships raw steel. Must be painted or powder coated to prevent rust.  See (Steel-It)
      - Factory tailgate catch must be removed
      - Aftermarket tail light covers may interfere when fully opened
      - High lift jacks do not fit the Jeep JL tire carrier accessory mounting holes as they may hit the tail light when fully opened.

      • 3/16 inch laser cut and cnc formed steel
      • CAD designed for perfect fit
      • Will hold up to a 40 inch tire .
      • 12 mounting points vs the factory 4 mounting points
      • Multiple adjustments both vertically and front to back for optimal tire position.
      • Same wheel lug size and thread as stock sizes
      • Designed to work with License plate/camera mount relocation kit MB2115 
      • Integrated design allows you to open and close easily with factory door handle.
      • Will work with factory bumper or aftermarket bumpers. 
      • Greasable mounting bolts at pivot points on hinges
      • High density hinge bushings with steel inner liners

      • Our tires carriers are designed to fit a wheel backspacing of 4.25" to 5.5" with tires larger than stock.  If you need a larger wheel backspacing, you can add a wheel spacer (not included).
