      Description

Excellent Mud-Terrain Tire. Reinforce your Jeep with the Mickey Thompson BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire. This rugged off-road tire features a design that makes driving on extremely rugged or slippery roads a lot easier. Indeed, the BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire is an exceptional tire that will get you through your next aggressive off-road expedition with greater safety and success.

Built for Punishing Roads. The BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire is an aggressive off-road tire. It has larger, 4-pitch SideBiters for improved traction, deep and wide voids for an effective forward bite, angled shoulder scallops for self-cleaning capability, and mud scoops to keep mud from building up in the grooves. Indeed, this tire lets you drive around muddy terrain with improved safety and handling.

Incredibly Durable Silica-Reinforced Rubber Compound. Mickey Thompson engineers fortified the BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire with a silica-reinforced rubber compound. This makes it incredibly resistant to cuts and chips, so you can navigate around rocky roads without worrying about tire punctures.

Smooth and Quiet Ride. The BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire features an asymmetrical tread pattern. This delivers impressively smooth and quiet ride on open roads or rough terrain.

Standard Limited Warranty. The BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire is covered by Mickey Thompson’s standard warranty. Please note that some limitations to this warranty apply.

Application. This Mickey Thompson BAJA Boss Mud-Terrain Tire has been specially designed for all Jeep Wrangler models. You may choose your size with the help of our ordering options above. This tire is sold individually.

What is the best gear ratio to run for larger tires? When you increase the diameter of your tires, your vehicle's engine has to work harder to turn them. Naturally, this will lead to increased fuel consumption and reduced performance. So, when upgrading to a set of larger tires you should re-gear your rig to regain this lost acceleration, performance and fuel economy.

Find your original tire size and gear ratio using the chart listed below, the intersection should be your approximate RPMs at 65 MPH. Then find your new tire size and follow it across to the closest RPM to your original tires, this will be your gear ratio choice.

This chart is based on driving at 65 MPH with a 1:1 gear ratio and a manual transmission in 4th gear. Please note if your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission your RPMs will be higher due to normal transmission and the torque converter slippage. In overdrive your RPMs will be approximately 15% to 30% less than indicated.

      I’ll never go back

Had these for about three months now and I’m pretty impressed. I live out in the middle of nowhere and at least five miles from any pavement. Our roads here in southern Iowa are dirt and after a few good snows are slick clay mud. These tires have been perfect for the terrain. Nice and grippy in mud and aggressive off-road. When I get to the hardball the mud and snow flips right out of the lugs and the ride is smooth. A little louder than my old BF ATs but to be expected with an aggressive tire. When I air down these tires have been outstanding. Rain slicked rocks and downed trees are no match.

      M/T Baja Boss MT

Meaty and mean. These tires are outstanding so far. After trying my best to mount these on my Nomads I gave in and had a great tire shop mount and balance. I brought them home and threw these monsters on the 2 door JL. Absolutely fell in love right away. Do they hum? Of course they do. They’re an MT. Are they sexy? Of course they are. They’re an M/T. Behaves very well on the five miles of gravel I live on with no chunks getting cut out. Transition to pavement is great. I drove on these for over an hour at 65+mph and they handled very well.

      Smooth ride

You'd think with the rough looking tread on it, it would sound loud as all get out.... but I was surprised this tire grips and is pretty darn quite like I had some tires in the past that sounds like a freight train coming through but these are a definite godsend totally love then took about an hour to install all 5
