Perfect for All-Weather Driving. Whether you are driving on mud, rocks, or surfaces made slippery by rain, snow, or ice, the Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All Terrain Tire is perfect for maintaining maximum grip on the road to avoid or reduce slippage. You can thank the tire’s silica-reinforced tread compound, angled shoulder scallops, and two-pitch SideBiter pattern for that.
Reduces Stone Retention. Not even the rockiest of terrain can succeed in leaving stone chips in this tire, thanks to variable-draft angles and tread edge chamfers.
Boosts Ride Quality. The high-tensile 2-ply body cord prevents this tire from adding a significant amount of weight on your truck. Plus, the tread element tie-bars increases stability when driving. The end result is a more stable ride that is ideal for off-road adventures.
Up to 60,000-Mile Manufacturer’s Warranty. Mickey Thompson covers treadwear on the tire for 55,000 miles if it’s an “LT” size and 60,000 miles if it’s an “SUV” size.
Straightforward Installation. Using just a car jack and a lug nut wrench, you will be able to get four of this wheel brand on your truck in about 30 minutes.
Application. The Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All Terrain Tire fits all truck models. It is sold individually; you will need a quantity of four to complete installation.
What is the best gear ratio to run for larger tires? When you increase the diameter of your tires, your vehicle's engine has to work harder to turn them. Naturally, this will lead to increased fuel consumption and reduced performance. So, when upgrading to a set of larger tires you should re-gear your rig to regain this lost acceleration, performance and fuel economy.
Find your original tire size and gear ratio using the chart listed below, the intersection should be your approximate RPMs at 65 MPH. Then find your new tire size and follow it across to the closest RPM to your original tires, this will be your gear ratio choice.
This chart is based on driving at 65 MPH with a 1:1 gear ratio and a manual transmission in 4th gear. Please note if your vehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission your RPMs will be higher due to normal transmission and the torque converter slippage. In overdrive your RPMs will be approximately 15% to 30% less than indicated.
