Retain Your Factory Shocks. When installing a suspension lift on your Jeep JL, the geometry is altered to account for the differences in height. One such change is the distance between the body of your Jeep and its axles. A longer, aftermarket shock is often used to account for this increase in height. One alternative, however, is to reuse the OE shocks with the addition of a MaxTrac Shock Extender. By modifying the mounting points of the shock, these shock extenders allow for the retention of factory dampeners with a 2-3 inch suspension lift.
Retain Factory-Like Ride Quality. Depending on the application, aftermarket shocks may actually have an adverse effect on your Jeep’s streetability and road manors. With the use of shock extenders, you can guarantee that your Jeep will ride properly on the OE quality dampeners while still accounting for the increase in ride height.
Cost-Effective Option. At a fraction of the price of aftermarket dampeners, shock extenders are a fantastic option for the everyday driver and occasional weekend warrior looking to save a bit of dough or who is planning to upgrade later. Without the high price of an aftermarket shock package, shock extenders allow the OE shock to be used within its natural range of motion while still accommodating the increase in ride height.
Rugged and Durable. Staying with the rugged nature of the Jeep JL, MaxTrac’s Shock Extenders are built from only the highest quality materials. Each extender is manufactured from ¼ inch plate steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant black powder coat to withstand even the toughest conditions.
Application. Engineered for use on 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler JL equipped with a 2-3-inch suspension lift.
