Hey guys. So today we're checking out the Door Hinge Liners fitting all 2007 to 2018 four-door JK Wranglers. So parts tend to deteriorate and wear out over time and one of those parts is your door hinge liners. Now the main function of these is to sit in the door hinge and make sure that your door opens and closes very smoothly without any metal on metal contact with the door hinge pin and the actual hinge itself. Now this set of eight is going to be a great choice for somebody who needs to do a little bit of restoration and replacement and give a little bit of TLC to their door hinges by replacing those liners. Now these are gonna be very durable, made of a derlin plastic material so they are going to be a hard plastic material. They're gonna allow your door to open and close very fluidly, but they also are going to last a very long time. Now what I do really like about this kit is the fact that it comes with the tool included that makes install very easy and that will even help with getting the original liners out. Now this kit is going to be very affordable as well, coming in at roughly $32 for the whole pack. Now there are other options available on the page. However, this, again, is going to be a very complete kit. It comes with eight very durable liners and again, it's a very well needed restoration part that's even great to do ahead of time before your current door hinge liners wear out. Now the one thing that I would like to mention is the fact that these will only work with the OEM door hinges so I would keep that in mind when you are shopping around for some restoration parts like this. Now as far as the install is concerned, this is gonna come in at a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.Again, we have the tool included so this is really all we'll need in order to get those factory ones out and these new ones punched in. So what do you say we go ahead and do that? The tools that I used for my install were a hammer, the provided tool, a T40 Torx and an impact wrench. So obviously our first step to this install is to take our doors off. So we will need to remove the nuts on the bottom of the door hinge pins. I'm gonna be using a T45 Torx bit to do so. So next we're gonna remove the limiting strap and disconnect the wiring harness. Then we'll be able to remove our door. So as you can see, we have our metal liner that's still in there from the factory. I'm gonna take our provided tool, put that up through the bottom and just give it a light tap. All right. You should be able to slide that right out. You can do the same thing for the bottom one. So as you can see, our factory liner is going to be made out of a metal material. Now this is only gonna hold up for a certain period of time before it does wear out, before it rusts. As you can see we have a little bit of deterioration on this liner already but that's not gonna be the case for our new plastic liner. Now this is going to sit in the hinge just like this one did from the factory. However, it's going to be a lot smoother when you open up and close the door just because the plastic liner is going to be a little bit more fluid and you're not really getting any metal on metal contact here. Also, not to mention, these will seize over time. You do have your door in for a long period of time, these can, kind of, keep the door pin in the liner itself and it can be very difficult to remove the door. Now with this, you're not gonna have that because you're not having any metal on metal contact. So what we can do now is install our new hinge liner. This is gonna go in the same way that the other one came out except for we're gonna do it the other way. So we're gonna line it up, take our tool and tap it in. Then we can do the same thing for the top one. So we can repeat the same process for the back. So after you've installed your door hinge liners, you can reinstall your doors and you can repeat that process on the other side. So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install. The hardest part was removing the old ones! These installed easily and now my doors are easy to remove and install for those warm sunny days!

New bushing install.
Don't wait too long to remove your factory ones. That was the hardest part having to remove every hinge and press them out. The new blushing super easy to install though.

These Hinge Liners are EZ-PZ
Got these to top off a hinge replacement job on my newly acquired JK. This has to be one of the easiest installs I've done on a vehicle. Popped the old bushings out of the newly installed hinges with the included tool, and dropped the new ones in. Made the door close so smooth. Will have a set of these on hand from now on!

Door hinges insert
The old set was very challenging to get out but the new inserts went in without issue and doors open and close easier.

Rear doors wear really difficult to remove
Opening and closing the rear doors was kinda difficult, very stiff. Getting them off required quite a bit of effort, and some YouTube advice. The OEM hinge liners were metal, these replacements are nylon, reminiscent of hinge liners in the seventies. Removed the metal liners by folding the top flange down and driving them out downwards instead of upwards. Much easier than driving them out per the directions. One hinge pin was oversized? somehow.

Door Hinge Liners
It was hard to get the old ones out - as they we painted in. But once they were removed the liners fi properly and the doors slide in as expected.

Great Liners
These are great. Install was a little difficult due to the OEM liners having rusted in place a bit. But once these were in my doors slide in and out with ease.

Good Liners
Purchased this kit to replace the OEM corroded liners on my JK. The punch out tool provided made the job a lot easier. Getting a couple of the liners out was difficult due to corrosion but the tool made it easy. New liners easily inserted into the hinges. Doors open and close smoothly! Overall, I am very satisfied with the product.

Had very bad water leaks from all 4 doors this completely eliminated the rear leak and helped greatly with the front leaks with new door seals and b-piller mucket seals
