Replace the Rot. That CJ is no spring chicken. It's probably got more miles and years under its belt than most people you know. All jokes aside, it's no surprise to find that the structural components are in need of a shape-up. Don't just look at the floor pans and frame rails, though. Consider everything else. You're going to be glad you grabbed these leaf spring plates when you take a look at what's going on underneath.
Keep that Axle Where it Belongs. What happens when the leaf springs holding the springs in place take a hike? Well, the springs will stay bolted to your CJ. The rear axle is a different story. Without going too much into detail, it's a guarantee that you'll be in for one heck of a ride. Stop it before it can happen. Swap these spring plates in place of the raggedy, original components, and you won't have to worry about the differential blazing its own trail.
Genuine Mopar. There are places on a vehicle where it's alright to try cheap, no-name parts. Trinkets mostly, the kind of things that don't matter or that you're unsure whether or not you're ready to commit to the top-end stuff. These types of products don't belong anywhere near the underbelly. When it's time to replace those leaf spring plates, you should lean on the name you can trust. You know, the folks that play a hand in what Jeep leans on during assembly.
Fitment. Fits 1976-1986 Jeep CJ5 and CJ7 with AMC 20 rear differential.
