      Description

      Improve Your Gearbox. As your Jeep Wrangler gets older, some parts must be replaced for a safer and more comfortable ride. The Jeep Wrangler AX4/AX5 Transmission Main shaft is designed to transfer the high output of the vehicle engine to the wheels. To make things even more practical, the transmission shaft reduces the speed of the vehicle when necessary. This is accomplished by the complicated placement of the gears and shafts in the gearbox. The shaft is also made to be strong enough to withstand dynamic and static stress, ensuring that your road performance will be improved.

      Steel Construction. Heat-treated hardened steel is used to make the input shafts. The shaft and primary driving gear are one-piece assemblies. The primary gear is housed inside the case and is always in continuous mesh with the countershaft. The torque is transferred from the clutch disk to the countershaft through the input shaft. The steel construction also ensures the durability and longevity of the shaft, making it resistant to corrosion and rust.

      Professional Installation Required. To install the Jeep Wrangler AX4/AX5 Transmission Main Shaft, you must remove the old shaft first. This is not an easy process, especially if you do not have strong mechanical skills. It is essential to get it done by a professional mechanic.
