Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with Turbo Hemi

Just wanted to post some fun with a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and a Porsche 911 TurboS. While Jeeps are not really known for drag racing, (that's not really their forte'), you see more of their modern brothers at the drag strips now and then. Especially since they can dip into Dodge's long tradition of "go fast" know how. In this instance, a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 hits the pad and rips out a quarter mile pass in 10 seconds. Of course, it sports a Dodge 6.4 HEMI with a twin turbo. It's pushing well over 1000+ hp. The challenger is a Porsche 911 TurboS.  This car also has a twin turbo setup on it's six cylinder engine. Both vehicles have been modified and tuned beyond stock, so don't expect to grab one of these off your local showroom floor (at least, not one that will crank out these times). The Porsche specs out at about $ 182, 000 in stock form. The Grand Cherokee SRT8 at around $ 65,000 or so. This video, if nothing else, shows what you can do with a new 6.2L HEMI, even when it's packaged in a somewhat heavyweight SUV like a Grand Cherokee. As a note, I would also wonder about the gearing. I think the gearing in the transmission / transaxle on the Porsche might hurt it's success in a drag race (but favor doing 180 on the highway).
