Yes, Drilling Required for the Jeep WJ!

Ill save yawl the headache if you are buying this for the Jeep WJ. You will need to bore out the rear frame holes where the brackets attach. You will also need to bore out the end bracket holes on all 4 brackets as they do not line up with the threaded backing plate. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to thread the bolt. Saw that they were not drilled aligned, QC issue. Once you bore all 4 brackets holes and the rear frame connection holes. You'll be fine. Other than that they are sturdy and nice! If possible have someone help you because getting those brackets aligned can be a pain. Id give this thing 5 starts for everything else aside from having to mod it.

A step up!

We needed a little step up into our jeep and I installed these. Well-made and easy to install. Written instructions are not the best, but if you have a little mechanical ability, it is easy to figure out. One suggestion, get a metric tap for the holes in the under carriage to be sure there are no thread issues there and free of debris...I got a bolt stuck and broke the bolt head off trying to install it. Turned into more a job, but not the manufacturer's fault for sure.

Westin HDX Grille

Install video definitely helped as the instructions that came with it could definitely be worked on. I really like the look of it. However, I wish that with certain models (such as my Tacoma 2023) they had left an opening in the very middle so that my collision sensor wouldn't constantly warn me that it is turned off due to debris in the way. Also reduces my mpg by about 4mpg, which I expected but letting others know in case they didn't think about it. Seems like it is a very sturdy construction that would protect well if it was needed.
