Weak interior support, decent honesty lock
Got one of these used, and despite being well-worn, the structure of the can was actually still very sturdy. It looks really good, and the steel on the body itself is good quality. The weak point however is that interior support bar. The metal on the pivoting support bars is a thin (and overly flexible) steel construction, but the real problem is the pin in the center where it pivots. The original pin it came with was cheap plastic and broke. Replaced it with my own bolt & nut. The lock will keep someone honest, but a crowbar or lockpick will easily bypass it. Don't store anything super valuable in it. It will keep out a racoon, but it won't keep out a bear. The retail price of ~$125 is also a bit steep, but would be more palatable on sale & if the interior hinge was a bit better. Wouldn't recommend paying more than $40-50 for it.
