These tailgate letters are crafted to match these lettering recesses and feature a layer of real carbon fiber. These factors give your tailgate a striking new style that’s sure to make your vehicle stand out. Moreover, these tailgate letterings’ rugged UV-resistant construction will provide a fade-free look for years.
Rugged Build Quality. These tailgate insert letters feature a novel multi-layer construction with a top layer made from UV-treated clear resin for outstanding resistance to fading. Additionally, this top layer is applied in a manner that gives it a domed form creating an eye-catching 3D effect when mounted onto your tailgate. Meanwhile, its middle layer is precision-cut from a high-grade carbon fiber sheet to give the letters their distinct hi-performance style. Finally, these tailgate letters feature a bottom layer using 3M adhesive film that acts both as a protective seal and makes installation a breeze.
Easy Install Procedure. These tailgate letters’ aforementioned 3M automotive-grade adhesive backing makes their installation an easy peel-and-stick process. That said, it is advisable to first clean the mounting surfaces before wiping them down with a clean rag moistened with acetone or alcohol. This is to get rid of any grease or residue that could interfere with the adhesive. Additionally, it’s also advisable to heat the mounting surfaces when installing these letterings during cold weather as the adhesive is more effective on warm surfaces. You can do this with a hair dryer or heat gun.
