Description
Maintain Smooth Engine Performance. Maintain a smooth-performing engine with few vibrations and shakes with help from a new Jeep Wrangler engine harmonic balancer. This special wheel mounts on the crankshaft and helps maintain a good smooth balance through regular rotation. This replacement part is just one part of the engine system in your vehicle, and it’s an essential component that may need replacement eventually.
Shaft-Mounted Balancer. This large wheel mounts on the front of the crankshaft and helps keep the shaft and engine from vibrating. It maintains balance and helps keep everything performing well.
Rubber and Metal Construction. This part is formed from a blend of metal and rubber to reduce vibrations as much as possible while in use. This replacement product is heavy and carefully balanced for maximum dampening performance.
Medium Installation. Replacing this harmonic balancer will take approximately 2-4 hours to do for most mechanics. This replacement project requires removing many parts to get to the balancer properly.
12-Month Warranty. This replacement balancer has a 12-month warranty that it comes with. This protection ensures the balancer is in good condition when it’s first used.
Application. This harmonic balancer is only for 1981-1986 Jeep CJ5 and CJ7 vehicles. It can be installed on the crankshaft of either model.

The harmonic balancer was fine but it was the wrong one. I have a serpentine belt and this is a v belt

My rocker arms perform as intended, with little noise of operation ever since I replaced the arms and hardware with a valve job. It feels as new as it came off the showroom floor

Time for some new seals
This is a fairly complete seal kit for your Jeep Quadra-trac. If you have the low range unit, there are a couple of seals that don't come with this kit. Also, these have two rubber seals that are round and flat to be able to fit into a groove in the case. This is a nice concept if your case has the groove. However, the one I have only has the groove for the low-range cover, but not for the split case for the chain drive assembly. Therefore, you may need to use a tube of a good gasket maker to get it to seal properly.
