Input shaft spline change

Worked great, Fairly easy to change. Took about an hour and a half to get transfer case all sealed up

NP 231 like new again !

Included all bearings, seals, and retainers to rebuild the NP231J to like new. Downloading a service manual really helped with the disassembly and installation of the new bearing. Don't forget to put the new oil pump pickup screen in and don't panic, you will have some parts left over as this kit covers both the YJ and TJ changes through the years. This was the first time I have rebuilt a transfer case and it took me an afternoon with the only special tool needed was a blind hole bearing puller.

Worked like factory

The item itself fit and works well. The engineering from Jeep makes me hope I never have to take it off. Installation was not hard just remove the boot and pop it on. For me I put it on Jeep side first then slide the handle down.

Worked good for my NP231 rebuild. Used only a few of the bearings included because the rest were good.

Overhaul?

I would actually call this a bearing and seal kit. If it was labeled as that it would get 5 stars. I was mistaken by the description. An "overhaul" kit should include circlips as well. Had to buy them separate. Other then that, the bearings and seals are good quality.

Great kit

Has extra bearings to fit the variations of the NP231. The only thing missing was range shift fork pads, but it has both variations of the mode shift fork pads. It would have been a 4 hour project but i had to buy another np231 from marketplace do to the range hub/input shaft gears being worn severely do to failure of the range fork pads. So it was ether wait a week for new hub, fork and input shaft or buy a used TC as range gears are rarely les than pristine. So it took most of the weekend. world be 5 stares if the range fork pads had been included and some instructions would have been nice too.

Yea I bought a seal kit and replaced all seals as needed.

Transfer case over haul and slip yoke eliminator

Both kits go hand in hand if you do one and not the other you will be kickin yourself later! Was a very simple process! If you can change oil you can do this!!! I am not a mechanic, well I wasn't until the shop said how much they wanted! Right then is when I became one ( (shade tree) read the instructions and follow the steps thoroughly take alot of pics and bag and tag everything you remove! Save your cash for shocks and or tires cause the shaken and vibration will be Gone!!!! Definitely recommend and for me it definitely wasn't as hard as it appears ?? ??
