Description
More Power for Better Performance. Conquer the streets and trails with ease with this polished HPS Short Ram Air Cold Intake. This short ram cold air intake will give your Jeep more available power to deliver better performance. The free-flowing aluminum inlet pipe increases the air intake volume and improves flow. Meanwhile, the oversized high-flow filter has a higher filtration capacity. This combination ensures that your engine gets bigger amounts of clean and cool air to boost your Jeep’s horsepower, torque, and throttle response.
No Need for Custom Tuning. This Short Ram Cold Air Intake will work perfectly with your Jeep’s factory tune. If you have other upgrades installed, however, it’s best to get a custom tune to reprogram the ECU. This will help ensure the optimum performance of every upgrade.
High-Flow Washable Filter From HPS. This short ram cold air intake uses a high-flow filter from HPS. This oversized filter has a larger surface area to trap more dirt and filter out even the smallest particles. Moreover, this filter is reusable and has a long service life of up to 100,000 miles before you need to give it a wash. This helps you save time, money, and effort in cleaning and replacing the filter.
Mandrel-Bent Aluminum Inlet Pipe. To increase the air intake volume, this short ram kit features a short but wide intake tube. It’s made from aluminum for reliable toughness and durability, and mandrel-bent to ensure quick and unobstructed airflow. This tube is also designed to maintain the right air-fuel levels. Finally, the tube is polished to a chrome-like shine for sleek looks and enhanced corrosion resistance.

Not CARB-Certified. This HPS cold air intake is not CARB-certified. Therefore, it’s not legal for sale and street-use in California and states that have adopted California’s emission procedures.

Awesome!
The shortram air intake definitely made a believer out of me... before I had the stock air filter box with K&N air filter which did absolutely nothing, since installing the HPS shortram cold air intake I've noticed more throttle also you can hear the air intake work (faintly, not loud) like a faint whistle when driving off from a stop,etc. Takes a little time to install, I like the bracket that bolts on to the engine, holds the air intake in place good. I definitely recommend.

Looks Great
Put this on last weekend. Looks really nice with the red powdercoat. People say it doesn’t give any HP gain but I can notice a difference very easily as soon as I installed this. Full pedal stomp to floor used to spin my tires in rain but nothing else. Now barley 3/4 throttle and they spin with ease.

Killer Shortram but needed a little bracket bending
Product is perfect for someone who does not want a snorkel but wants to improve or change up air flow. The OEM air box really chokes your engine for air. This one opens up to total flow and improves your performance at altitude. For install on my 3.8 V6 I had to do a little bending of the bracket to make it fit correctly but nothing too crazy.

Nice upgrade
Very easy to install, thanks to other reviews I anticipated trouble with the air temp sensor and had already put some thought into it so I put a bit of dish soap on my finger and rubbed it inside the gasket. The sensor slipped right in place with no trouble. It was harder to get it out of the stock intake hose. I also had to remove the belt in order to get the bolt for the bracket out because of the washer being fixed onto the bolt; I might have been able to force it but Murphy’s law and I are well acquainted and I didn’t want to bugger up the threads. Overall it was one of the easier upgrades I’ve added and I noticed an increase in gas mileage and a slight amount of pickup and throttle response.

Sick Looking
Package arrived on time and was well protected. The install took about an hour. It would have been quicker, but the bolt that holds support brace was tough to get off the engine block. A second challenge was plugging the sensor into the new intake. The rubber ring kept popping back into the new intake pipe. Red intake pipe land filter look great and are made well. The car seems to have more pep while driving and sounds a little more aggressive.
