Description
Gear Specs. Engineered to meet the torque stresses and friction heat of the most demanding applications head on, this G2 Axle gear set (ring and pinion) boosts the power of your Jeep when you plan to add bigger wheels. Whether rock crawling or exploring obstacle-laden back country terrain, these gears provide more torque delivery to the axles. This set's durability is thanks to heat treatment, lapping, double shot peening, and 8260 steel construction. The final gear ratio is 4.56:1, and the set works with either front Dana 30 axles. A 3.73 or numerically higher carrier required. G2 backs these gear with a limited lifetime warranty.
Application. This gear set fits 2000-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ models.

Good to go
I replaced some Yukon gears in the front of my 2003 Wrangler TJ after my "mechanic" installed the other pinion incorrectly and damaged them. I have been very happy with these gears in the past on my other jeep (95 YJ). No issues with these so far because they've only been installed a couple of days. We in fairly easy with no problems. Everything bolted in without issue and seem to be working perfectly. Went to the beach the day after the install, ran around on the beach all day with no issues. Would recommend them to anyone needing gears, whether to upgrade or replace damaged/broken gears.They wouldve probably went in easier but I had to replace everything to to improper installation by another shop.

I LOVE THESE GEARS
Went from 3.07s to 4.88s I have 5th gear finally. A lot more torque as well. Crawls up jeep trails just letting off clutch. Oh ya I put lockers in front and rear too.

Really woke my jeep up
After installing a lift and 33” tires my jeep felt sluggish but after installing these lower gears it has more get up and go just like it had when it was stock. It also preforms great Offroad. These gears are definitely the best bang for your buck.

G2 ring and pinion
Ordered G2 ring and pinion and install kit for Dana 30 in 2001 TJ. Parts fit fine. Only issue was neither gears or install kit came with instructions. Also ordered Yukon gears and install kit for 8.8 in the rear from another supplier and each came with install instructions. Other than no instructions the product is fine, still in the process of breaking in the gears so time will tell.

g2 gears
I have gone threw 4 axles now weather it was a bent tube or exploding spider hears reaking havoc on the case, cracked case but I have never chipped or broken a tooth off these gears or pinion. Had a chip on the pinion but nothing a little emery cloth and time couldnt fix would def recommend getting the master install kit when you in there replaceing gears why not do the seals and the bearing try to make the 30 as strong as you can till you can upgrade to 44s or larger.

Poor set up for lugs
Seem to be good quality, installation was easy, only thing I do not like is the studs being threaded cause they tend to back out to much when trying tighten lugs even with lock tight. A poor design

G2 Differential Cover
Love this cover. It’s super thick and durable. Holds a lot of oil! When u take off the stock cover the difference is wild. Overall an easy install. I do not have a lift or mods and so the track bar was in the way of the full plug. I only realized this after install. So yes I filled it through a syringe through the full level port. It worked though. Highly recommend this product

Great Protection for your Axle
My neighbor purchased these for his JK and had me install them. The fit was spot on and the installation was straightforward. I am not a professional welder but I had no problem welding these up although he was already planning on replacing the ball joints so I did not have to worry about cooking those. He also had the axle out of the Jeep so it only took a couple of hours start to finish. Liked them so much I am going to buy a set for my JKU which I just put bigger tires on.
