Description
High-Quality Rubber. The Factor 55 ProLink Rubber Guards are made from EPDM rubber, a high-quality rubber with substantially better resistance to aging and cracking than typical polyurethane. It also performs better when exposed to the elements including UV rays, ozone, and oxygen. It's more resilient than polyurethane with similar flexibility.
Excellent Engineering. Everything about the rubber guards is engineered to work right the first time for the end user. The rubber barb hooks used to attach the rubber guard to the ProLink enter precision machined slots already in place on the ProLink's surface. The barbs are designed for multiple removal and install cycles giving you the flexibility to remove the guard and replace it at your convenience.
Installation. The ProLink's rubber guard secures in place via eight attachment points precision machined into the back of the ProLink's body. The guard is removable and re-attachable without destroying the barb hooks on the end. Once in place it protects your fairleads from damage including scratching.

Factor 55 Hawse Fairlead standard
This is a solid piece of hardware. Very well made. Finished is smooth and uniform. Fit is exact on a standard Fairlead bumper cutout. Print and logo is clear and tastefully displayed. Mounting surface is flat and true. Face surface is beautiful. As fare as wear, the finish is tough. With a 3/8” synthetic line, the mouth of the fairlead barely shows wear as I’ve used it twice to rig and perform a winch out. Weight is 2.5 pounds. Standard steel winch line fairlead is 9.5 pounds. If you’re looking to upgrade to a synthetic winch line and appropriate hawes fairlead, this is a solid purchase. I shaved 26.5 total pounds off my front bumper by switching to 3/8” synthetic line (85’) and this new fairlead from my old setup of standard steel cable line, hook and roller fairlead.

I purchased the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle Mount because in researching towing/pulling rescue and getting myself out of trouble I was struck by the fact that hard shackles and hooks cause damage. So I reasoned that soft shackles and using the Factor 55 Splicer Shackle is the way to go for safety and performance!
