Description
Secures Your Jeep’s Hard Top. Installing this DV8 Offroad Hard Top Latch Closure Mechanism helps secure your Jeep’s hard top. This latch replaces your Jeep’s broken or loose factory latch, but it can also fit on other aftermarket tops. In addition, this latch sports the DV8 logo, giving it a more rugged look.
Durable Steel Construction. To keep up with your Jeep’s off-roading lifestyle, this DV8 Offroad Hard Top Latch Closure Mechanism is made from durable steel. Furthermore, it is powder coated with a black finish to fortify its protection against weathering, rust, and corrosion.
Bolt-On Installation. For your convenience, DV8 Offroad built this hard top latch with a bolt-on design. Using a few basic hand tools, you can directly mount this latch onto your Jeep’s existing points.

Great OEM alternative.
If you bought a hardtop for your Softtop only JLU, you'll be missing some latch points. These work great for providing those points at a fraction of the OEM bracket cost. I drove my Jeep without them for 2 months and while it never leaked, it would whistle at speed. These resolved the issue. Really they're a 5 star product. I deducted 1star for chrome fasteners. Definitely not a big deal, but seems like an oversight not to use black with the black brackets. Also, I bought at the height of pandemic closures so the fastener choice may have been rooted in supply issues to be fair. Definitely recommend.

Great Product—satisfying install.
1. The Black fiberglass DV8 fastback looks cool. Good look and fit. It came with black hardware vs the shiny screws mentioned earlier. 2. I’d plan for a full afternoon for the installation. I removed the soft top and associated fittings; removed the hard top from the crate and installed it in about 4hrs—mostly by myself. 3. The hard top came in a wood frame, soft sided crate. Total shipping weight was 300 lbs and it arrived with no damage. I’d recommend using at a full car spot in the garage to perform the de-crating. I cut the wood frame up for firewood. 4. The instructions are not helpful. I recommend you assemble the back window and attach it to the main hard top component before installing the top. I needed an assist to hold the nuts fast as I tightened the bolts on the window bracket. 5. I also needed help in lifting the top onto the Jeep. It’s not too heavy, but awkward for one man. The main top component mounted easily. 6. The Targa panel went on easily, but I needed additional parts for a complete job. If you don’t or didn’t have another hard top installed you may be missing four metal tabs that bolt to the windscreen frame and center roll bar. There are rotating clips on the Targa that secure the top against these tabs. Absent that, the Targa still attaches with the pull latches to the windscreen and two other clip secure the back to the main top component. That configuration is quite drive-able. I bought the hardware needed from DV8 after the initial job ($90). 7. The ride is quieter than the soft top. There is some wind noise above 50 mph. I ran it through a car wash for a leak check and found minor dribbles in the cargo area. I’ll fix both later. Overall, I had fun upgrading my Jeep. Working through the lack of explicit instructions was part of the journey!

Looks great but you will get wet
This is worth it for the look. It leaks like crazy. I met a DV8 rep at Jeep Beach 2019 and he was aware of the leaky top and he said it would be an easy fix. He mailed me 2 rubber pieces to put on the doors but it did not fix anything. When it rains the back area where the jack stores gets filled with water. Both drivers side and passenger side leak too. It is annoying but still worth it for the look (I hate the square stock roof). I pulled the drain plugs in the floor board.

DV8 Fastback Hardtop Review
Extra gasket material was needed for the front corners where the door, window and roof meet due to initial leakage. ALSO, it took two people (husband/son) to install, took them about 1.5hrs initially, however, needed a little extra time once the leakage was discovered.

Good little top
It is a good little top very expensive the only drawback to it was the back glass mounting points they were off a bit so got 3 bolts in one side and 2 bolts in the other and in a rain storm it leaks a little at the front but that’s part of owning a jeep looks great tho
