Kill Deflection. The factory sent your Jeep Wrangler off with rubber bushings, which are great for many reasons. That type of bushing is a great way to provide the driver and passengers maximum comfort. The problem is that it gives just a little too much for maximum performance. Moving to polyurethane stiffens things up, boosting the responsiveness of the suspension components, effectively increasing performance across the board.
Maximum Reliability. Increased performance isn't the only factor that makes moving to polyurethane bushings worthwhile. Polyurethane is far more resilient to heat, road debris, and continuous cycles than traditional rubber bushings. So not only do they help you improve performance, but they also last much longer. Trust us, that's the kind of thing that'll keep your classic CJ Wrangler around for even longer.
Don’t Replace, Just Regrease. Everyone under the sun will tell you that the main drawback to polyurethane bushings is that they're noisy, and that's why they moved back to rubber. They're wrong, though. Polyurethane bushings will make noise, but that's their way of telling you they just need a little grease. It takes a few minutes of your time every few years to make sure they're all squared away. That's a fair compromise to achieve maximum performance and reliability from your CJ Wrangler.
