Hey guys, today I'm here with the Crown Automotive Spare Tire bracket fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers. This is gonna be for you JK owners out there looking for a direct bolt-on replacement for your OEM stock tire carrier at a very affordable price. So parts break and wear out over time which calls for necessary replacements. This will be your best solution if that's happened to your stock tire carrier and you're not looking to upgrade to bigger wheels and tires that require a heavy-duty tire carrier. So at the moment, this will be your most affordable option for a OEM-direct replacement. But there are also less expensive options for heavy-duty tire carriers if you're looking for the most bang for your buck. Nonetheless, this will be a direct replacement and get the job done if that's what you're looking for. This will also come with a 1-year and 12,000-mile warranty to keep a little bit of peace of mind in your investment. So install will be a very easy one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter taking you a total of 20 minutes in your driveway. So speaking of the install, let's jump into that now. The tools that we used for our install today were an impact wrench, a 3-inch three-eights inch drive extension, a 19-millimeter deep socket, and a 13-millimeter shallow socket. So the first step to our install is removing our spare tire. You're gonna need a 19-millimeter deep socket to get our lugs off. So our next step is to remove the eight 13-millimeter bolts that are holding in our tire carrier. I'm just using a small extension to give myself a little bit of room to work with. Now make sure you have a grip on your tire carrier because this is where it will detach. So I'm not gonna do a full stock compare because they are the same thing. This is just gonna be a direct replacement to what you already have on your JK right now. It's still gonna be a metal construction with a black powder coat finish, so it's gonna be durable, hold up to a 31-inch tire, and the finish will resist any rust or corrosion on the metal. So I did bring one of our old tire carriers here to show you a perfect example of why you would need or want a direct replacement. So you see here, we chewed up one of our studs but we don't have a larger tire that we wanna put on our Jeep right now. And we wanted just a direct replacement so that is a perfect reason why. So enough about our old carrier, let's bolt up our new one. So after we have our old tire carrier off, we're ready to bolt up our new one. This does come with a new wire loom and a new grommet here. So all you have to do is place that through this hole here and secure down the grommet. We can fish that through to connect it to our wiring harness inside in just a bit after we secure this down. So just to keep it in place so we're not holding this because it is heavy to hold up for a long time, you can just secure it with a couple of bolts. So once the tire carrier is secured down, we can insert our grommet. Make sure that that is in place, then we can open up the tailgate, and pop off this panel here. It will just pop off. It's held on by a couple of different clips. And now that we're inside of the tailgate, we can take our new our new harness and plug it in. I'd recommend you put these two tabs in first, line everything up, and then you can pop it into the retaining clips. So now we can insert the rest of our bolts and tighten everything down. So that's gonna wrap it up for my short review and install of the Crown Automotive Spare Tire Bracket fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK Wranglers.
