How to Install Carr Hoop II Steps - Black (97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ) on your Jeep Wrangler

Installation Instructions:

1. Hand tighten the 5/16” carriage bolts through the steel strap and the center hole of the mounting brackets.

2. Hold brackets flush with the body metal in desired position beneath door entry. Mark the outermost bracket hole with a pencil (Not the center hole).

3. Remove brackets and center punch markings on body metal.

4. Pull back carpeting in cab between door and seat mounting brackets.

5. Using a 5/16” drill bit, drill through the two center punched holes from the underside of the Jeep.

6. Next lay the steel strap over the holes recently drilled and insert the carriage bolts (from inside Jeep).

7. Using a 13mm socket wrench securely tighten bolts and washers to carriage bolts from underneath the jeep.

8. Hand tighten bracket bolts and washers to the steps using the image below.

9. Once all bolts and washers are assembled, use two 11mm sockets to securely tighten steps to brackets.

10. Test the step by firmly pushing down with one foot.
