1. Carefully open the package using a box cutter or knife (Figure A) and ensure the trail cover is included and undamaged.
2. Ensure that the vehicle is turned off before installing cover.
3. Begin by draping the trail cover over the top of the vehicle (Figure B). Note: The "Bestop" label should be on the passenger side if positioned correctly (Figure C).
4. Hook the adjustable straps to the underside of the vehicle on each side (two straps per side) (Figure D).
5. With the straps hooked on both sides, cinch the straps down until the cover is snuggly secured to the vehicle (Figure E).
6. Locate the plastic strips (six on each side) toward the back end of the vehicle (Figure F).
7. Slide the plastic strips into the belt rail retainer on each side of the vehicle (Figure G).
8. Hook the adjustable straps on the rear of the trail cover to the bottom of the tailgate (Figure H).
9. With the straps hooked, cinch the straps down until the cover is snuggly secured along the rear of the vehicle (Figure I).
10. Optional: Locate the grommet on each side of the vehicle near the side mirrors. This can be used to install a cable lock securing the cover to the vehicle. To use this feature, thread a cable and lock through the grommet and through the mirror to secure.
