1. Choose Driver or Passenger side to start. Locate 3 body mount bolts. They are located in front of the door, middle and rear of the door (Figure 2). Use 5/8 socket and 1⁄2 ratchet, impact or breaker bar to get the 3 bolts loose. Remove the 3 Bolts and set aside (Figure 3).
2. Locate the 3 (plastic fender) threaded inserts just behind each front tire (Figure 4). Drill Out fender fastener holes on body using a 1⁄4 in Drill bit. (Without doing this the Barricade Rocker guard cannot sit flush against the metal body)(Figure 5). Once the insert is removed from the metal, a small dimple will remain at that location, mildly tap the metal dimple flush with Ball Pin hammer to smooth out the surface (Figure 5).
3. Place a jack and spacer under the body after furthest rear body mount bolt (Figure 6). Jack up the body just enough to put a space between the rubber spacer and the body of the jeep (Figure 7).
4. Once you have a space between the body and the mount you now can slide the Barricade Rocker Guard into position. There are two slots located at the rear of the Rocker Guard. The rear slot slides between the rear mount and body (Figure 8) and the front slot on the Rocker Guard slides between the center mount and body (Figure 9).
5. Lower Jack and remove. Make sure the body mounting bolts can be started. DO NOT re-tighten the Body mount bolts yet. This is just for alignment purposes.
6. Place the jack and spacer under the Barricade Rocker Guard at the front of the vehicle. (Doing this will hold it snug to the bottom of the cab for proper alignment (Figure 10).
7. Place the 3 adjustable clamps along the Rocker guard Holding it firmly against the body (Doing this will ensure proper alignment and fitment while drilling the mounting bolts (Figure 10).
8. Now that the clamps are tight and the Barricade Rocker Guard is snug against the jeep body. Locate your pre- drilled holes on the rocker panel. To make sure you are centered while drilling, begin by center punching the body in the center of the pre drilled rocker panel hole (Figure 11)
9. Pre-Drill Holes into the body of the jeep using a 1⁄4 in Drill Bit , Follow that drill bit with a 3/8 in Drill bit. The 3/8 in hole will accommodate the provided hardware to fasten the Rocker Panel to the Body of the jeep.
10. Using the 17mm deep socket and the 6mm Allen wrench tighten each of the bolts to the body. The rocker panel is now securely fastened to the body (Figure 12).
11. The Body mount bolts have been started into the proper locations. Completely tighten the bolts to original specifications of (35 ft/lbs ).
12. Move to the other side and perform steps 1 – 11.
