How to Install Barricade Trail Force HD Rear Bumper w/ Tire Carrier (07-18 Wrangler JK) on your Jeep Wrangler

STEP 1 // Remove the rear tire and the (8) 13mm bolts holding the tire carrier to the tailgate.


STEP 2 // Disconnect the third brake light harness, which can be access through the rear panel of the tailgate.


STEP 3 // Remove the (4) 15mm bolts securing the rear bumper.


STEP 4 // Install the mounting bracket to the inner side of the rear bumper support beam, slide the bolts through, leaving the nuts off.


STEP 5 // Next, slide the L-Shaped mounting brackets into the frame rails with the nut backing up to the predrilled hole in the frame.


STEP 6 // Slide your new rear bumper over the brackets and bolts set in place in the previous steps.


STEP 7 // Thread the (4) supplied bolts into the side bumper supports and tighten.


STEP 8 // Using the supplied nuts, install the center support and tighten.


STEP 9 // Install the swing arm by sliding it over the post on the bumper. *Note it may help to grease the post for smoother operation.


STEP 10 // Install the top cap then secure it with the supplied allen-head bolt.


STEP 11 // Slide the latch into the end of the swing arm and secure with the two bolts and nuts.


STEP 13 // Finally, install the rear tire carrier and secure it to the rear swing arm at the desired height using the supplied hardware.
