Merideth: If you're in search of a stylish drop step for your 2021 or newer two-door Bronco, these Barricade NB1 Running Boards in Textured Black will be a great addition to your build. Now, I do wanna mention that we also have these available for the four-door as well, if that's what you have. So, just keep that in mind that we do have those on the site. Now, these will be good for the Bronco owner who wants an extra boost up into their truck, especially if they've added a lift or even a leveling kit and just need that extra drop when it comes to getting in and out. Now, this set will also provide a good amount of protection to your rocker area or the pinch weld area if you're looking for more coverage for your off-road adventures or just day-to-day.Now, these will feature a large bucket-style step to get you that extra drop that you may need for that accessibility to the cab. And it's going to have a stamped slotted design for some additional traction and style and a little bit of drainage as well, making sure that nothing is puddling up on that step there. Now, these will have a pretty average drop to the step itself. It's going to be right in the middle, not too low and not very high clearance. So, I would keep that in mind if clearance is something of a concern to you. These will be great for any fire trails to protect from any kick-up and any light crawling, but I wouldn't recommend this to somebody who's doing a lot of more advanced crawling. Now, this will also feature a dual tube design up at the top. That's just going to provide some extra protection to that rocker area and also going to be there for some extra style points as well. Now, talking about construction, these will be made of a heavy-duty steel plate and tube construction ready to take a hit, whether that be on a rock while you're crawling or out on the trail or just a door ding in the parking lot. Now, these will also have a textured black powder coat finish on top as it says in the name, that's gonna protect the steel from the elements and give more of that heavy-duty appearance to the Bronco. Now, something that I really like about these and what makes it stand out from the rest is the tube and the steel plate hybrid look, and it's going to add a lot of extra styling to the side of the Bronco. Now, you're also going to get everything you need for the install, including all the brackets and the hardware, making it very straightforward. Now, getting into price, these will come in at roughly $375, which will be a pretty decent price point for a heavy-duty drop step. Now, comparing these two others in the category, I do like the fact that this will offer a really good balance between accessibility and protection with its construction. Now, some other options for side steps may be focused on accessibility and lighter protection with lighter materials rather than this that will be able to take a hit, and then vice versa. Some may be more focused on protection like rock sliders as where this is going to have that drop step there. Now, not to mention, these will also have that hybrid look that I mentioned before as to where some other drop steps may have that tube look or just a boxy appearance. It's just one or the other. Now, I think if you're looking for a stylish set of steps that will offer that drop that you need to get in and out of the truck with the added bonus of side coverage, then these are gonna be a great choice. Now, install will be a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, taking you roughly two hours to get the job done. At this point, I'm gonna hand you over to one of our customers who has actually completed this on their Bronco and is gonna walk you through that install step by step. So, that wraps it up for me. Let's go ahead and get into it.Man: All right. The tools that I'm using are a 17-millimeter wrench, a ratchet, a 17-mill deep socket, a 17-millimeter shallow socket, and an extension. So, the directions have you starting on the front passenger. And the brackets are all labeled, front passenger, passenger rear. So, take it underneath, get it ready, and get our four bolts with lock washers and flat washers ready, and get them set up underneath the truck. All right. We have the front bracket here on the passenger's side with the supplied bolt, lock washer, and washer. And we're gonna get it hand started. Let that hang, grab the second one for the top. Get that finger tight as well. And then we're gonna move on to the back bracket. Now, we're on the rear bracket and again, we're gonna use the bracket with the supplied nut and lock washer and flat washer, and we're gonna get it hand tight. And then the top one. Now, move on to the actual side step. All right. Now, you're gonna take the running board and you're gonna put it on the brackets. Let's get tabs on the top of the running board, and that blade on the top of the bracket. Take your bolts, and you're gonna start and just get it secured on there. The bolts have flat washers on each one and flat washer and the nut through each of the back sides. We're just gonna get them started right now on all four. Washer, supplied nut, and hand tighten that. All right. Now, I'm gonna go back underneath and tighten everything down and then come back up here and I'll level the running board and get it in its final position, and then tighten these down. All right. We have everything hand tight on now, now we gotta get everything tightened. That's the front bracket. All right. That's pretty tight. Pretty tight. All right. Now, we're gonna move on to the back bracket. All right. We're at the back bracket now, and we're gonna tighten it down. All right. So, for the top bolt, it's easier to just put the short socket, the short 17-mill one there and get it. All right. Now, front and rear brackets are tight, and we're gonna adjust the side step itself and tighten down those bolts and nuts. All right. We're at the front bracket, we have this side step positioned the way that we want it. And we're gonna go ahead and use a 17-millimeter wrench to hold the nut and the ratchet to tighten the bolt. All right. That's the bottom one, now I'll move to the top one. Now we're at the back bracket and we're gonna do the same thing back here that we did on the front. We're gonna finish getting this adjusted exactly where we want it, and we're gonna tighten these down with the 17-mill. All right. We're gonna [inaudible 00:08:30] to the top one, and then do this one. All tight. Position looks good. Now, we're gonna do the same thing on the other side.Merideth: So, that's gonna wrap it up for my review and the install of the Barricade NB1 Running Boards in Textured Black, fitting all 2021 and newer two-door Broncos. And remember, for all things Bronco, keep it right here at extremeterrain.com.
