Lightweight but strong quality
It's always scary to cut into an essentially new truck, but I'm glad I did. Overall the install was easy, and Backwoods Adventure Mods has some really good installation videos on YouTube. The bumper looks great, the welds are very good, and I have no doubt that it'll do a great job protecting the truck. The outer part you see is all aluminum, and the inner winch cradle / mount that you bolt the outer part to is very thick steel. It's recommended that if you're planning on doing winching that you buy their separate support brackets. This isn't due to the bumper or winch cradle being weak, but because the Tacoma doesn't have a lot that the bumper or cradle bolt to. The brackets add a lot of extra steel that beefs up the frame section that everything bolts to. It took me probably 6-8 hours to install since I was taking my time and have never don't anything like this before. Also most pod style lights will work in the fog light openings. I used amber Cali Raised pod lights and they work well.

Great quality bumper
This bumper was pretty straight forward to install with the company’s how-to video on YouTube. Cutting the bedside is sketchy to think about but it’s was made easy with their step by step and reference points for the line. Definitely need two people for the install. I love the look and clearance of the bumper!
