Description
Add Some Functionality. Part of going out on the trail is to test how far you can push your Jeep. Sometimes you can push it a bit too far and that is when a strong winch becomes a necessity. Mounting that winch to a solid platform on your Jeep Gladiator JT Launch Edition or Rubicon is critical to it operating at its best. The ATP Winch Plate System mounts directly to your stock Jeep bumper and is made of heavy gauge steel to accept all sorts of sizes of winch, for all sorts of sizes of situations.
Solid Platform. When you decide to mount a winch to your Jeep, you need to make sure that it is on a solid platform to handle the stresses that it will encounter. The ATP Winch Plate System is made of heavy-gauge steel that is hand-welded and hand-ground to ensure the highest quality and best strength. All of the steel is laser cut and then formed on a CNC press brake so that the bends and shape are exact. The entire unit is then powder-coated for corrosion and rust resistance. Finally, it bolts directly to your already robust stock front bumper so you know that you have an excellent anchor point.
Installation Notes. This is a simple installation that utilizes factory mount points on your factory bumper. All you need to do is align it and bolt it into place with a set of standard wrenches. Unless you are mounting an oversized winch, this is a non-welding, cutting or drilling operation.
Made in the USA. Everything that ATP does, it does here in the USA. Engineering, testing and fabrication are all done out of their facility in Southern California. They are proud to be located here, it even says it in their name - American Trail Products.
Application. The ATP Winch Plate System fits 2020-2025 Jeep Gladiator JT Launch Edition and Rubicon models.

Solid product, but required minor modifications.
This is a stout mount for a winch! Installation was straight forward but it required some modification for my Harbor Freight Badland Apex winch. The winch wouldn't sit all the way into the mount because of the lip on back. I ground the lip down 1/4" and that resolved the issue. I also discoverd that once I got my factory Rubicon steel bumper back on the spool control on the winch hit the bumper. I pulled the grinder back out and shaved off some of the factory steel to get it to work. Overall this is a good product, but be prepared that "one size fits all" means you might need to make some modifications.

I took a gamble on getting this since I could not find a single example of this being installed. Well, at the end of the day, it's pretty basic. Take off your bumper. Remove inner frame horn support bracket. Save the bolts. Slide this into place with a few whacks of a rubber mallet. Loosely re-install bolts from inner frame horn brackets. They include 2 small bolts to align the plate to the frame horns. I torqued down the re-used bolts only to find the one of the eight frame horn bolt holes did not line up. I recommend using at least two more bolts. Install your winch and put your bumper back on. They packed the bumper using pool noodles which might work if they taped all of them in place. But only the center one was taped and the two end ones came off during shipping. There's a little too much room for sliding around. So one end broke through the box and arrived gouged. Since its behind the bumper, I just painted it and called it a day. The good news is that it works well with the Galdiator Rubicon and there are no issues with the sway bar motor mount. I did have to wallow out the two skid plate bolts at the bottom since the thickness off the winch plate pushed the entire bumper 1/4 forward.

Easy to install! Heavy duty! Already used it six times with a warn 10000 lbs winch on the SO cal. Sidewinder trail. Worked perfectly. And no major back order or over priced!

Great plate!
Install was easy. Fit really well until putting a smittybuilt 12k winch on the plate. Wish it had another set of mounting bolt holes for the winch about a half inch further away from the grill, I am going to drill my own so I can get clearance for the solenoid bow to be mounted on top of the winch.
