Description
Protect Your Pinion. This Artec Industries 14-Bolt Pinion Guard with Low Truss Bridge was engineered to protect your Bronco pinion from damage caused by rocks and other large obstacles found on the trail. This Pinion Guard and Truss Bridge is a must have upgrade for any serious rock climber.
Steel Plate Construction. Artec Industries manufactures its Pinion Guard from CNC cut, heavy duty 3/8-inch steel plate for superior strength and rigidity. Likewise, the Bridge is cut from 1/4-inch steel plate. Both the Guard and Bridge are left in their natural steel finish allowing them to be welded in place by the end user. 3/8-inch grade 8 hardware is included.
Application. This Artec Industries 14-Bolt Pinion Guard with Low Truss Bridge is designed to fit 2021-2025 Bronco models. Please note this Pinion Guard with Low Truss Bridge is compatible with TR1401 and TR1406 Rear Trusses only.
Please Note. Trimming of the Bridge may be necessary depending on pinion angle and Truss used.

Strong
The new gussets are made with some heavy duty steel. Make sure to pre heat the cast iron before welding these in. Keep the temp hot and ping the metal as you go so they do not crack your welds.

Artec Dana 30 front truss
If you are not a welder/fabricator or know 1 personally. I would not tackle this job. I am a welder/fab so found this rather straightforward. A little grinding is required for a proper fit. Literally took me longer to pre-heat and post heat the welds on the cast than it did to actually do the install. And I did this while the axel was still mounted. There are some tight spots to weld and grind but not impossible. My Jeep has a 3 1/2 lift giving me plenty of work space. I installed both front and back truss in about 5 hours. Having my axels trussed now gives me a little sense of comfort while running 37”s

Very nice!
1st off I will say I am a welder/fabricator by trade. So I did this install myself. The fit was perfect. Had zero grinding. I did this while the axel was still on my Jeep. 3 1/2” lift gave me plenty of clearance. A few difficult welds to make but not impossible. Welding cast is required. Very pleased with the quality of the product, out of the box it just feels sturdy. Quite pleased with product. Install time for myself only took maybe half hour of actual work. Pretty easy and straightforward. Only reason it took me longer was pre heating and post heating of the cast pumpkin. If you are not an experienced welder I’d try and find a buddy. If the welds crack on the pumpkin, you are defeating the purpose. Also possibility of warping axel sleeve.

Best upgrade for your JK44
A must for anyone who wheels or running a 37+ on stock JK axles. I recommend doing a full wrap weld too around the diff housing.

100% PURE BEEF
Luckily my welder knew how to weld to the cast diff housing and as a precaution also did a full wrap (weld axle tubes to diff housing) too.
