Description
Intake. Airaid's exclusive Cross-Link adapter tube s designed to connect to the factory intake tube, allowing you to use it on either the 4-or-6 cylinder engine. Made from rugged polyethylene, this intake tube connector will flow a much higher volume of air than the stock air box.
Filter Specs. Constructed from two layers of non-oiled synthetic fiber, the Airaid SynthaMax performance air filter offers two stages of filtration. The first layer of needle felt polyester keeps large bits of dirt and moisture from entering the system, while below that, multiple layers of rayon and polyester filter out smaller particles before they get sucked into the combustion chamber. The Airaid SynthaMax filter is 100% synthetic, and boasts a 99% efficiency rating. You never have to oil, or worry about it wearing out. Simply wash it out every 30-50,000 miles, let it dry, then re-install. It offers the same high-flow rate of a traditional cotton-gauze filter, but without the hassle.
Additional Features. This Airaid performance intake is a simple and effective way to get more power from your Jeep. Simply remove the stock air box, attach the Cross-Link adapter, and your engine will suddenly be able to breathe. More mid-range torque will be available, and depending on how / where you drive, you could see better MPG's too. A filter shield also comes with the kit, to protect it from dirt, water and heat.
CARB Certified. Best of all, the Airaid Classic Performance Cold Air Intake is 50-state smog legal under Carb EO # D-609-18.
Application. This black Classic Airaid Performance Cold Air Intake with a SynthaMax Dry Filter is specifically designed to fit on the 1997 - 2004 Wrangler TJ with either the 2.5L or the 4.0L engine.
