• Please read the entire instruction manual before proceeding.
• Ensure all components listed are present.
• If you are missing any of the components, call customer support at 951-493-7100.
• Ensure you have all necessary tools before proceeding.
• Do not attempt to work on your vehicle when the engine is hot.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal before proceeding.
• Retain factory parts for future use.

Refer to Figure A for Steps 1-3

Step 1: Loosen the clamp at the throttle body and air filter housing using an 8mm nut driver.

Step 2: Disconnect the temp sensor wire. Slide the red tab back and then push down on the release lever (Be careful not to break the connector).

Step 3: Remove the OE intake tube.


Refer to Figure B for Steps 4-6

Step 4: Disconnect the Crank Case Vent (CCV) hose at the back of the OE air box.

Step 5: To remove the OE air box, pull the box straight up.

Step 6: Once removed, you are ready to install your new aFe Power intake!


Refer to Figure C for Steps 7-9

Step 7: Install the new urethane spacers onto the bottom of the air intake housing with the flat side of the spacer towards the housing.

Step 8: Remove the M6 bolt that secures the intake housing mounting bracket to the inner fender well (Save the bolt as it will be used in a later step). (8) 

Step 9: Remove the temp sensor from the OE intake tube by pulling it straight out (Do not bend from side to side to remove the sensor).

Step 10: Install the trim seal on the housing as shown.

Step 11: Insert the housing into the vehicle and secure it using the M6 bolt that was removed in step (8)


Refer to Figure E for Steps 12-15 

Step 12: Insert the new grommet into the aFe intake tube. Install the temp sensor into the new tube before installing the tube into the vehicle. (12)

Step 13: Install the new aFe intake tube using the provided couplings and clamps. Tighten the clamps after the tube is lined up correctly.

Step 14: Slide the new mini clamp over the end of the CCV hose. Connect the CCV hose to the intake tube and tighten the mini clamp.

Step 15: Connect the wire back up to the temp sensor and slide the red clip forward. (12)

Step 10: Install the aFe air filter onto the housing adapter.

Step 11: Your install is now complete! Check all clamps and bolts after 100 miles of driving.

• Warranty is valid provided aFe instructions for installation and/or cleaning were properly followed.

• Proper maintenance with regular inspections of product is required to insure warranty coverage.

• Damage due to improper installation, abuse, unauthorized repair or alteration is not warranted.

• Incidental or consequential damages or cost, including installation and removal of part, incurred due to failure of aFe product is not covered under this warranty.

• All warranty is limited to the repair and/or replacement of the aFe part. To request Return Goods Authorization (“RGA”), email [email protected] or call (951)493-7100. Upon receipt of the RGA, you must return the product to the address provided in the RGA, freight prepaid and accompanied with a dated proof of purchase and the RGA. Upon receipt of the defective product and upon verification of proof of purchase, aFe will either repair or replace the defective product within a reasonable time, not to exceed thirty days.
